Sustainable tourism in Bulgaria

Welcome to the land of untouched wildlife and wilderness! The Bulgarian park, host of many natural and awe inspiring sights and sounds, boasts a wide array of natural attractions such as diverse landscapes with deep caves, steep slopes and canyons, high waterfalls, and clear fresh water streams. In addition it is a stronghold of Bulgarian nationality and culture.

Central Balkan National Park is a habitat of more than 2000 diverse species and sub-species of plants that can be found in the park. The park plays a major role in the protection of bear, wolf, imperial eagle, and white-backed woodpecker, as well as in the conservation of 8 bat species. The park is home to 224 different animal species. Of these 220 animal species, seven are fish species, ten are amphibians, and fifteen are reptiles. The park also hosts rich diversity of birdlife. 123 bird species breed in the park such as eagle owl, golden eagle, red-breasted flycatcher, and the white-backed woodpecker.
